Our breeder farms are the home of the parent stock birds that are reared in a highly bio secure environment. The birds are provided with top of the range feed, housing, litter, utilities, technical and veterinary services, from a team of poultry experts that have the knowledge and expertise that is essential in maintaining Interchick‘s standards of excellence that are guided by the international standards of animal husbandry.
From the breeder farms, eggs are sorted, graded and labelled for purposes of traceability. The eggs are then incubated and hatched over a 21-day period. Once hatched, the day-old chicks are distributed into the market. We offer broiler day old chicks for meat, layer day old chicks for egg production or the tanbro which is a hardy bird grown for meat and eggs with the ability to free range. All chicks are vaccinated against deadly viral diseases such as Infectious Bronchitis and New Castle Disease.
Our broiler farms are made up of Interchick owned and out grower farming facilities that allow the business to be in operation throughout the year. To ensure that the customers access high quality poultry meat, all birds are raised in naturally ventilated chicken houses with space to move around and they are given clean water and quality food to eat.
Interchick prides itself in owning and operating a world class meat processing plant, which adheres to Government standards and have the yum order mark of quality. We slaughter our birds at maturity adhering to halal requirements. The birds are then eviscerated, categorized, further processed and packed ready for consumption. Every batch of Interchick chickens is certified healthy by Government Veterinarians at each stage of the process. We are extremely proud of our plant team for the dedication and commitment to food safety and quality standards.

Our products are available in restaurants, and fast foods, we are also present in supermarkets, hypermarkets, convenience stores, self-owned & independent butcheries, hotels, institutions and the kuku shops in the local markets nearest to you.
